As always, a good post DaMa, I always enjoy reading these snippets of info.

I thought the part:

"In the Code: Veronica portion of Darkside Chronicles, there is a chapter called “Game of Oblivion”, whose title holds a certain significance. Until the game is released, I’ll have to let you remain “oblivious” to what this chapter is all about"

was particularly interesting as initially I thought that the "game of oblivion" reference would be in connection to Alfred's battle with Claire, using the sniper rifle. After thinking about this for a moment though, I kind of figured that this wouldn't make much of a scenario from Claire's perspective so thought that this could imply a playable scenario from Alfred's perspective, with a build up story around it.

Other parts of the article imply that they wanted to do a bit more that wasn't included in Code Veronica (i'm extrapilating rather than quoting) so this could also point to new content centred around Alfred.

Am I reading too much into it?

Hmm, I get the impression it does have to do with the whole Alfred/Claire scenario namely for two reasons: 1) In the trailer Alfred says to Claire "Don't you love this game?!" in which he is trying to shoot her from the balcony. And 2) the "game" Alfred created for Claire (the maze and such) ultimately would end in Claire's demise (or so Alfred hoped). I don't know. I may be pointing out the obvious.

Since the Ashfords are so heavily focused on in this game, I really hope some new background information is brought into view. I would love to know more about Edward and even see the twins' extreme hatred for their father. They would make interesting cutscenes when Alfred rambles on and on about the glorious Ashford name and such. So much can be done in regards to the family, and I hope Capcom takes advantage of that; this is probably one of the last outlets they will have the oppurtunity to shed more light on the family.

One thing I do hope is that the game does not focus solely on Alfred. It seems like most of the footage that is being released has to do with Alfred and not so much Alexia. Personally, I preferred her over Alfred. Also any new information on Alexander is welcome...Most intriguing!

On this video I saw there was the chapter Game of Oblivion being shown. The begining of it was in the prison section.
