Well I learned a lot from recording today, and next a few days will be a lot smoother. For starters, all of my recordings will be done in rated arenas from now on. With 50+ people watching, someone is bound to get itchy at critical moments. In one of my duels against Geecee, I brought him to 0 mana with 1500 health left, while I still had 2500, some rogue ambushed me to break up the fight. It is quite annoying. In any case, duels done in rated arenas are just so much cleaner to watch from the audience's perspective. Lag is also far less of a factor, result in much higher quality games.
Requirements to participate in this video:
1) You are an active member of at least one 2100+ arena team. (I will make exceptions for players that have made popular PVP videos in the past)
2) You don't lose to rogues on your home server, and have dueled me on test server in a friendly series (this won't be rated arena, just somewhere without too many people is fine).
3) You have a 2v2 rated team on test server and can invite me to record your match.
Best of 7 format, anything that can be used in arena can be used in here. For the sake of fairness, only matches recorded by me will count in my blog/video. This allows people to play as many friendly games as they want. I will only count ones I record.
See A Sample Movie Here, Loz vs Geecee, Radikal vs Inactive UNEDITED.
Today (and last night)'s Results:
Geecee Orc Restoration Shaman
Geecee vs Ming 4-0
Geecee vs Loz 4-0
Geecee vs Inactive 3-4
Azael Human Felguard Warlock
Azael vs Ming 4-1
Azael vs Loz 4-0
Azael vs Inactive 4-0
Radikal Human Water Elemental Mage
Radikal vs Inactive 2-4
Alchol Troll Restoration Shaman
Alchol vs Ming 4-1
Inactive became the first rogue to win a best of 7 series against Geecee, after Geecee pretty much steamrolled Nitrana, Wishd, Loz, and myself over the last a few weeks. I became an Inactive fan overnight as the way he played mutilate in this match-up was spectacular. Either way, if Nitrana or Wishd or any other top rogue would like to show up on test and duel Geecee in an official series, I will gladly record it. Alchol, a very strong troll shaman beat me 4-1 as well, and if he is willing to participate in recorded matches, I will appreciate it. My game against shaman is probably the weakest as I have least dueling experience against this class. I think horde rogues will probably do better.
Azael, a soullink warlock with extreme stamina and resilience, and the willingness to use as many shards as it takes to sweep a series, is truly the hardest opponent on test at the moment. I will welcome any and all rogues to fight him in friendly's, and if you think you can beat him in a series and fit my 2100+ requirement, I will gladly include you in this video. I got one extremely lucky win as I COSed his death coil. Other than that, it is possible to keep it close, but it is very, very hard to deliver the finishing blow (Inactive delivered 24K damage in one fight and still could not kill him). I would like to see a rogue hero defeat Azael before test server is over. I am counting on Zecks the golden child or Minti-sama. Feel free to practice against him in friendly matches before you ask me to record the real series.
It will be very impressive if any frost mage can prove to be a real challenge after the ice block/frost bite nerfs. Perhaps mages will all drop frost bite and use molten armor instead. Unwanted frost bite procs will make rogue immune to that critical frost nova when you need it most.
LFM:
Warrior (I really want a Dwarf)
Hunter (Dwarf or orc is preferred)
Shadow or Discipline Priest (Terrion?)
Druid/paladin I am not very optimistic about, but maybe there will be someone exceptional out there.
Rogue Duels:
These will be done at the very end. Rogues that performed best against other classes will be asked to duel each-other in rated matches. I will be recording them.
Geecee/Inactive, if it is possible, I would like to obtain a horde account and record your fights in rated arenas, just to be consistent when it comes to the overall theme. The footages I had came out really bad after I reviewed them as there were too many bystanders.
